The Department of Meteorology says that showers or thundershowers may occur at times in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Central and Uva provinces.
Some places in the Northern Province. Moderately heavy showers of about 50 mm may occur, and showers or thundershowers may occur at places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts after about 1.00 pm, the report issued by the department states.
There is foggy conditions in some places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the early hours. The Department of Meteorology requests the public to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thundershowers.
