The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning about the occurrence of heavy rains in 10 districts.
According to the Department of Meteorology, heavy rains of about 100 millimeters may occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the districts of Galle, Matara, Puttalam, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya.
The Department of Meteorology says that with the activation of the South West Monsoon, the rain situation in the South West part of the island may further develop.
In the meantime, in view of the heavy rains, the landslide warnings for 05 districts namely Ratnapura, Kalutara, Kegalle, Galle and Kandy have been extended yesterday (06) afternoon
