US to sell $510 million in weapons to Israel

The United States has approved a $510 million arms sale to Israel, the Pentagon said. The deal includes thousands of bomb guidance kits, the Pentagon said.

In a statement, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said the sale includes 3,845 Joint Direct Attack Missile (JDAM) guidance kits and additional guidance kits for the MK-82 bomb.

“The United States is committed to the security of Israel,” the DSCA said. The prime contractor for the deal is Boeing, based in St. Charles, Missouri.
