The United National Party has taken steps to appoint a three-member committee to hold talks with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
The three-member committee consists of UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene, UNP General Secretary Attorney-at-Law Thalatha Athukorala, and President’s Counsel Roland Perera.
The UNP’s position is to bring all political parties together on one platform to protect Sri Lanka’s democratic multi-party system, the party said in a statement issued in this regard.
