An underworld leader Ruwan Jayasekara alias Midigama Ruwan was brought to Sri Lanka today by a team of the Criminal Investigation Department after he was arrested in Dubai.
Midigama Ruwan has been accused of attacking the headquarters of the Colombo Criminal Investigation Department in order to free the currently arrested drug trafficker Nadun Chinthaka alias Harak Kata.
Midigama Ruwan, who is also Nadun Chintak’s brother-in-law, was reportedly arrested by the Dubai Police in March. He was arrested by the Dubai Police due to a fight in a night club in the city of Dubai.
