Two lakh bail for the woman who cut her husband’s penis with arecanut cutter.

Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Nalaka Sanjeeva Jayasuriya ordered the release of a woman who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous injury by cutting her husband’s genitals with a arecanut cutter (Giraya) on two personal bails of two lakhs of rupees.

Thus, the court ordered the release on bail a woman named Darshika Bhagya Madhavi Dissanayake. a resident of Yahalegama, Anuradhapura. The magistrate directed the police to refer the suspect woman to a psychiatrist at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital and submit the report on November 17.

The police informed the court that this women was cut the genitalia of her with ”Giraya” which use to cut arecanut. A man was admitted to Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital and transferred to Polonnaruwa General Hospital for further treatment.
