Two investigetions on fetal injection at Ragama Hospital

It is reported that the Ministry of Health has started an investigation regarding the death of a patient shortly after receiving an injection as a treatment for an ear-related disease at Ragama Hospital.

It is reported that the patient, who was hospitalized for an ear related condition, died after being given the ‘co-amoxiclav’ vaccine, an antibiotic commonly given against bacterial infections.

Hospital Director Dr. Sampath Ranaweera confirmed that a comprehensive internal investigation will be conducted at the hospital level to investigate the circumstances related to the incident.
