Two CT scan machines at the National Hospital are down

The Radiology Technologists Association of the Government says that two of the 4 CT scan machines in the Colombo National Hospital have broken down and both patients and radiographers are in dire straits.

Commenting further on this situation, the President of the Government Radiological Technologists’ Association, Chanaka Dharmavikrama, said that yesterday, more than 200 CT scan tests were performed with the broken machine.

He further said that due to lack of proper maintenance, more than 7 CT scan machines in the hospital system of the state are inactive, and the machines in those hospitals should be replaced very soon.
