A ceremony was held at Temple Trees, Colombo, in celebration of the 150th World Post Day. During the event, the Department of Posts issued two commemorative stamps featuring the portraits of Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya and Minister Vijitha Herath.
Both Prime Minister Amarasuriya and Minister Herath attended the event. However, the release of these commemorative stamps has sparked significant criticism on social media.
