It is reported that many flights had to be canceled due to technical faults in several Sri Lankan aircrafts arriving at Katunayake Airport.
Each aircraft is subjected to a technical evaluation check after completing its flight, where the essential technical maintenance to be carried out on three aircraft is identified. Accordingly, it is said that the 3 aircrafts have been directed for the technical maintenance work.
Due to this, SriLankan Airlines flight UL-123 scheduled to depart for Chennai, India at 06.35 pm yesterday (17) and SriLankan Airlines flight UL-124 scheduled to arrive at Katunayake from Chennai at 10.15 pm have been cancelled. .
Apart from this, SriLankan Airlines flight UL-196 scheduled to arrive at Katunayake Airport from New Delhi, India at 10.10 p.m. and the flight scheduled to arrive at Katunayake Airport at 10.20 p.m. from Melbourne, Australia were also cancelled.
SriLankan Airlines has taken steps to inform the passengers traveling on these flights, and SriLankan Airlines has also taken steps to direct passengers who want to take these flights to those destinations by other alternative flights.
