According to the report, the Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee led by Upul Tharanga has decided to make some serious changes in the Sri Lanka Cricket leadership. Accordingly, three new captains have been named for Sri Lanka’s Test, ODI and T20 teams.
Dhananjaya de Silva has been appointed as the new captain of the Sri Lanka Test team and Kusal Mendis has been appointed as his vice-captain.
Kusal Mendis will be the captain of the ODI team and Charit will be the vice-captain.
Vanindu Hasaranga is to be appointed as the captain of the Twenty20 team and Charit Asanka has been named as the vice-captain.
The final decision on these new appointments will be taken tomorrow. Accordingly, it is reported that the final decisions regarding the Sri Lanka squad for the Sri Lanka-Zimbabwe tournament to be held in January will be discussed at the next selection committee meeting to be held tomorrow.
