Deputy Minister of Public Security Sunil Watagala says that an investigation should be conducted into the double murder that occurred in Middeniya. He also said that people who were working for the Rajapaksa family and later got angry about this have revealed facts in this regard.
He said that it is necessary to find out who is behind these murders, adding that killing witnesses has become a culture. He said that the destruction of evidence of these political murders has become a problem for the Attorney General today, and that evidence in cases involving Lasantha Wickramatunga, Thajudin, Eknaligoda, etc. has disappeared in the same way.
He said in Parliament that these are murders that are inherited by the Rajapaksa family and have relatives.
