Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe said at a youth lawyers’ meeting held at Mal Road in Colombo today that the UN Human Rights Office is following a double standard by treating Ukraine and Sri Lanka differently.
The former President also stated that the UN Human Rights Commission is scheduled to submit a resolution regarding Sri Lanka in September this year.
Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe emphasized that the current government as well as other political parties should seriously consider this duplicity of the UN Human Rights Office.
Therefore, the former President further stated that the government and the political parties in this country should be aware of the duplicity of the UN Human Rights Office.
