The Jaffna police have reported that a 2-year-old girl, who had attended the annual festival at the Nallur temple in Jaffna with her family to beg, is now missing.
The mother of the missing girl claims that the child was abducted by another beggar woman at the temple.
According to the police, the woman took the girl along with her mother, grandmother, and younger brother while they were collecting money from devotees. The suspected woman is a resident of the Batticaloa area.
