The tax imposed on fuel will be reduced for three months.

Australia has decided to reduce fuel taxes by 50% for a period of three months to reduce domestic costs. Accordingly, the government has announced that Australia will reduce fuel taxes by half until July.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has stated in a post on his X account that steps will be taken to reduce fuel taxes by half for a period of three months to save money when people buy fuel.

The Australian Prime Minister has further stated in his X account that the decision was taken because domestic prices are rising rapidly due to conflicts in the Middle East and it is putting pressure on Australians.

The Australian Prime Minister has stated that currently, a tax of 52.6 Australian cents is imposed on a liter of fuel in Australia, and with the new decision, it will be reduced to 26.3 Australian cents. This decision will be implemented from April 1st.
