Of these, 4 spill gates have been opened by 4 feet each and 2 spill gates by 2 feet each.
The irrigation engineer in charge of the reservoir says that a water capacity of 50,176 cubic feet is being released into the Kala Oya per second. In addition, it is reported that several spill gates have also been opened in the Kantale Reservoir.
