The technical committee of the Asian Games has decided to forfeit the silver medal won by Sri Lanka in the 400×4 meter mixed relay event at the Asian Games held in China less than an hour ago. The reason for that is that the Sri Lankan team engaged in an illegal run in that match, according to the technical committee.
Accordingly, India, who won the bronze medal in that event, got the silver medal, and Kazakhstan, which placed fourth, got the bronze medal. The gold medal was won by Bahrain.
