The release of water from Samanalawewa Reservoir to Udawalawa Reservoir has started.
Minister of State for Electricity D. V Chanaka said that water will be released for three days in the first round from 03 in the morning today (08).
He mentioned that 3.5 million cubic meters of water will be released per day.
And yesterday afternoon, the Cabinet met under the chairmanship of the President, where the Cabinet approved the release of the water capacity required for agricultural activities from Samanala Lake Reservoir to Udawalawa Reservoir.
