A heated situation arose when a group of protestors came to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna headquarters on Nelum Mawatha in Battaramulla carrying a bucket of punnakku.
The members of the People’s Struggle Movement who came to the office were protesting against a statement made by the General Secretary of the Podujana Peramuna, Sagara Kariyawasam, at Sugathadasa Stadium on the last 15 th .
The General Secretary said at the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna conference that 3% of the children born in Sri Lanka are hypocrites, and the protestors who came there today are protesting against it.
However, as the group was not given a chance to enter the party office, they were seen protesting in front of the road. The protestors had also brought a bucket of punnakku to present to General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam.
