During a rally held by the National People’s power in Kurunegala, a police intelligence officer was attacked by the people there.
The attack was carried out by the security personnel of Anura Dissanayake.
The police officer was attacked for taking some pictures when AKD came to address the rally.
There, the police intelligence officer immediately ran and got into a police car and left from there. A senior police officer in charge of the area said that the attack took place without knowing that it was a police intelligence officer.
