The police said that the person who was seriously injured in the shooting that took place in Borella last night (19) was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
The injured person is a 38-year-old resident of Nagalagam Street, Thotalaga. The police added that he had come to an apartment in this area a few days ago on the basis of rent, and that he was a person who had been in jail for the last five days after getting bail.
Further police investigations revealed that he is registered as a member of drug and organized crime gangs.
