The Supreme Court has decided to hear the fundamental rights petition related to issuing a prohibitory order to the President preventing the nomination of judges for other positions of the Supreme Court,Apart from the Chief Justice,
The court has issued this order after considering two interlocutory petitions filed by Reverend Dambara Amila Thero and Dr. Mahim Mendis seeking an order to remove or modify the prohibition order in question.
After that, the court fixed the date for the hearing of the petition on 25th of July.
