The Interim Government of Bangladesh is bankrupt. A nationwide shortage of goods

Funding for the new interim government formed after Shik Hasina resigned as Bangladesh’s prime minister has become a serious problem.

As a result, the interim government has requested eight billion dollars in aid through international funding agencies.

They expect to receive this money through the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank as well as other lending institutions.

With the struggle that has occurred in the country in the past few months, there is now a severe economic crisis.

The amount of foreign debt that Bangladesh already has to pay will increase to 100 billion dollars and three billion dollars is urgently needed to pay the interest on the debt.

Due to the shortage of foreign currency, there is a high risk of collapse of supply networks including food and fuel in the country.

Already in some areas people have started collecting food, medicine and fuel, so there is a shortage of essential goods.
