The ICC does not take into account what is said in the Parliament of Sri Lanka. Don’t shout about it here.

Sports Minister Harin Fernando said today in Parliament that the International Cricket Council (ICC) does not consider what is said in Parliament regarding Sri Lankan cricket because they have a certain method.

Answering a question asked by the opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, the minister said that there is no point in talking about Sri Lankan cricket in the Parliament as the ICC does not take into account the debates held in the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

“The ICC works in a different way, so there is no point in shouting about cricket in the assembly. Some people, including the leader of the opposition, do not understand this,” said the minister.

He said this while commenting on a statement made by MP sajith Premadasa regarding cricket.

“We have approved a proposal to remove the officials of Sri Lanka Cricket. One wonders what will happen to the proposal approved by Parliament.” Premadasa said

“We have entrusted the Attorney General with the task of filing legal proceedings against the corrupt in Sri Lanka Cricket. We will also change the law of the game based on the recommendations of the Chitrasiri report.” Minister responding to the opposition leader
