Today, the petition filed against Finance Ministry Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena for insulting the court was considered by Samagi Jana Balavega General Secretary Ranjith Maddumabandara and National Jana Balavega MP Vijitha Herath.
The petition was considered before a five-member bench led by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya, and the further decision on it was adjourned until May 22.
The Attorney General presented the facts before the court and made a request to grant time for filing the documents related to the case and the court considered the request and made this decision.
