Yesterday, the Supreme Court fixed November 14 for further submission of the petitions filed by Tourism Minister Harin Fernando and Labor and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara challenging the decision to remove them from
the Samagi Jana Balawegaya from party membership.
President’s lawyer Faizer Mustapha, who represented Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, submitted to the court not to accept the additional affidavit filed by the SJB leader on October 24.

He further submitted that the minutes purportedly annexed to the affidavit are different from the extracts of the statutes annexed to the objections filed by the respondents and that the records can be produced for the purpose of action.
