Labor and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara said that Glocal Fair is a light for the North. “Global Fair 2023”, which is an awareness program for young people looking for jobs in Sri Lanka about the latest trends and opportunities in the field of foreign employment, is scheduled to start in Jaffna. Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, who went there to observe the basic work, gave the following comments to the media.
The Glocal Fair campaign is a new one. We did the first program in Galle. Since it was successful, we thought to start this in Jaffna. This is actually a light to the north. We wanted to bring this to the North. We believe that reconciliation is not a topic that should be discussed only when the Geneva Human Rights Commission meets. Our goal with these new governments is to unite the north and the south.
We ask you to address narrow differences like your race, religion and politics. Many institutions like the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have come here for you. Now you can do a lot of things that you want to do in Kolobah from the plane with Glocal Fair.
