The crisis in the Middle East is putting Sri Lanka’s economy at risk.

If the current war situation in the Middle East region continues for a long time, Sri Lanka will face serious problems, says Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP S. M. Marikkar.

Therefore, the government should manage this situation with the right understanding, he said, adding that if it fails to do so, the country’s economy could be under severe pressure.

Commenting on the current fuel queues and the people’s panicking of fuel, the MP said:

“According to the data, there is no possibility of a fuel shortage at the moment. However, if the government does not control this situation properly, problems may arise in the future. Therefore, we request the public to act responsibly.” The MP said.
