Former Member of Parliament Namal Rajapakse states that he will give his full support to bring back the wealth alleged to have been stolen and hidden in the Uganda and Seychelles islands by the Rajapaksa.
Addressing a party meeting of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, he said: “If the money stolen by Rajapaksa is in Uganda, we will give our full support to bring that money back. If anyone we know is in Uganda, please help with this work.
If they are brought, paying this debt is not a problem. They say there are 18 billion dollars. Then the IMF is not needed. The World Bank is not needed. My family and our party are giving maximum support, please bring this money to Sri Lanka as soon as possible.”
The financial support received by Sri Lanka from the IMF is 2.9 billion dollars.
