The All Party Conference is reconvened.

The government has decided to reconvene the all-party conference on the 15th to discuss the full implementation of the 13th Constitution, except for police powers.

It is reported that the Presidential Secretariat has informed all the party leaders to submit the proposals for the conference early. A senior member of the Samagi Jana Balavega, expressing his views on this, said that the government should first present its proposals. He said that its secretary Sagara Kariyawasam has publicly said that the main partner party of the government, Podujana Peramuna, does not agree to the division of land police powers.

He also said that the 13th Amendment passed by a 3/2 majority in the Parliament in 1987 should be enforced by the executive and presenting it to the Parliament once again is a waste of time.
