T 56 in the Matara Magistrate’s was stallen and used for murder.

It has been confirmed that the T56 type firearm found by the Police Special Task Force officers in a forest in Mudugamuwa, Dickwella, was in the possession of the Matara Magistrate’s Court as evidence.

Court sources state that a special investigation has been started regarding the removal of the case material from the room, which was deposited with the number 152/9.

This firearm has now been identified as the T56 firearm used to kill 45-year-old Mudugamuwa Arachchi Sanjeeva, a resident of Matara, Uyanwantha South, who was killed on August 15
