Today, the court ordered that 32 suspects who were arrested and remanded for the murder of MP Amarakirthi Athukorala be remanded until July 28th.
This order was given after the suspects were presented to the Gampaha High Court. Amarakirthi Athukorala and his bodyguard were beaten to death by anti-government protesters at Nittambuwa on May 9 last year while traveling from Colombo to Polonnaruwa.
