Former Director of the State Intelligence Service, retired Major General Suresh Sallai, who is in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has been hospitalized due to a sudden illness.
He was reportedly admitted to the Colombo National Hospital this morning (25) and has been provided with tight police security.
He was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in connection with the ongoing investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
