Hon. FDr. Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Chairman and Managing Director of the Sun Siyam Group of Maldives, presented a cheque for US$ 125,000 today (17/12) at a ceremony held at the office of the Sun Siyam Group, as a donation towards the Government of Sri Lanka’s relief efforts, to the High Commissioner, H.E. Mohamed Rizvi Hassen.
Previously, the Sun Siyam Group donated US$ 75,000 within hours of the disastrous cyclone to support the relief efforts in Sri Lanka. The total contribution of US$ 200,000 was presented as pledged, making him the highest individual business magnate contributor to the relief efforts in Sri Lanka.
The High Commissioner wholeheartedly expressed his sincere gratitude and conveyed his appreciation to Hon. Mr. Siyam for his generous contribution.
