Such problems did not arise when I was Sports Minister.

Parliament member Namal Rajapaksa said that during his tenure as Sports Minister, administrative problems were resolved by discussing with sports federations. In that way, he emphasized that the current political authority and the cricket administration should resolve the issues through discussion.

He pointed out that due to the ban imposed on Sri Lanka by the International Cricket Council, Sri Lanka is losing more than one hundred million dollars a year, and he emphasized that the players and fans are the ones who are ultimately affected by this kind of crisis.

He pointed out that cricket has been banned by the International Cricket Council due to the conflict between politics and cricket administration, and stated that all parties should work responsibly to remove the current ban.
