Former Parliamentarian Sajin Vass Gunawardena has given a statement before the Criminal Investigation Department this morning (08) regarding the ongoing investigation into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena had previously stated in a statement that he had received phone calls from an Indian intelligence service regarding the Easter attacks.
Police said that during the investigation conducted into the relevant phone numbers, it was revealed that the calls had been made by Sajin Vass Gunawardena.
