According to the Department of Census and Statistics, Sri Lanka’s economy has recorded a growth of 4.7% in the second quarter of 2024.
The Department of Census and Statistics has disclosed that by issuing national accounts estimates for the second quarter of 2024.
Accordingly, the GDP of Sri Lanka in the second quarter of 2023 at constant prices (2015) will be Rs. 2,644,240 million which was recorded as Rs. It has increased to 2,768,293 million.
The Department of Census and Statistics further states that in the second quarter of 2024, agricultural activities, industrial economic activities and service economic activities have recorded wealth growth of 1.7%, 10.9% and 2.5% respectively.
