The Sri Lankan who was arrested is a Sri Lankan who came to Israel for work in May 2025. He was reportedly working on a temporary job outside his official employment agency.
According to information received by the Embassy from the Israeli branch of Interpol, he was arrested by the Beit Shemesh Police and is still in custody as investigations continue.
