Sri Lanka wins the second ODI defeating Zimbabwe.

The Sri Lankan team won the second ODI between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe by 2 wickets at the R. Premadasa Stadium colombo yesterday.

The Zimbabwean team batted first and scored 208 runs.

Captain Craig Irwin scored 82 runs for Zimbabwe in batting. Mahish Theekdhana who bowled brilliantly took 4 wickets while Dushmantha Chameera and Geoffrey Vandrasey took 2 wickets each.

Janith Liyanage, who played a more patient innings for Sri Lanka, scored 95 runs along with his maiden half-century.

While the rest of the team’s batsmen were engaged in irresponsible batting, Dushmantha Chamira and Mahish Thiekshana, who entered the field at the end, led the Sri Lankan team to victory. At the end of the 49 th over, Sri Lanka managed to win the match by scoring 211 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Richard Nagrava, who bowled successfully, managed to get 5 Sri Lankan players for 32 runs with 3 maiden overs in 10 overs.
