Sri Lanka U19 girls cricket team beat England due to Chamodi’s excellent bowling.

The Sri Lankan team managed to get a great victory over England in the under-19 tri-round cricket match which ended today at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.

Sri Lanka’s latest discovery, 14-year-old Chamodi Prabodha’s excellent bowling was the highlight of today’s match. The England team, which was under a lot of pressure due to her bowling, was bowled out for 118 runs.

The Sri Lankan team batted first in the match and scored 226 runs in 48.4 overs. Sanjana Kavindi 27, Devmi Vihanga 25, Rashmika Sevendi scored 59 runs in 58 balls.

In bowling Charis Pavale 2 wickets for 16 runs. Amu Surenkumar 2 wickets for 21 runs.

England team lost all out in 23.3 overs 118 runs. Jody Grewcock 26, Mary Taylor 10. Devmi Vihanga 4 wickets for 43 while bowling. Chamodhi Prabodha 5 wickets for 42.
