Sri Lanka qualifies for the finals of the World Deaf Cricket Championship

In the first semi-final of the World Deaf 20-20 Cricket Championship held in Dubai yesterday, the Sri Lanka Deaf team qualified for the final by defeating the strong Indian team.

In this very decisive match, both teams scored 164 runs in the allotted 20 overs, so a super over was sent to decide the winning team. There, Sri Lanka scored 14 runs and India could score only 5 runs.

The Sri Lankan team, who attacked first, scored 164 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Goyum Sankha 45, Gimandu Malcolm 52 runs. In bowling Vivek Sharma 2 wickets for 29 runs.

The Indian team who played the reply innings scored 164 runs for 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Sai Akash 78 runs, Virender Singh 50 runs. Bowling winner Dinuka Sachin 29 runs 1 wicket.

Then a super over was bowled to select the winning team. Vivek Sharma bowled the super over for the Indian team, where Gimandu Malcolm scored 14 runs with a one four.

In response, the Indian team could get only 5 runs in their super over.

In the other semi-final, Pakistan defeated Australia. Accordingly, the final match is scheduled to be held today between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
