Sri Lanka News has filed requests under the Right to Information Act to provide information on agreements signed between the two countries during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, relevant requests have been made to the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Attorney General’s Department under the Right to Information Act.
The Presidential Secretariat has informed Sri Lanka News that the relevant request under the Right to Information Act has been received and that it will inform the next steps in this regard within 14 days.
However, no response has been received to the information request sent via email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Attorney General’s Department.
Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa informed during the press briefing to inform the Cabinet of Ministers that if anyone wants to know information about the agreements signed during the visit of the Indian Prime Minister, they should submit the relevant requests under the Right to Information Act. Accordingly, the Sri Lanka News website has forwarded the relevant requests for information via email.
