The first four-day match between the touring Sri Lanka Emerging Team and the West Indies Academy Team began yesterday (June 8) at the Coolidge Cricket Ground.
Batting first, the visiting team managed to score 292 runs and wicketkeeper Sohan de Livera showed his performance by scoring a brilliant century.
Livera scored 130 runs in 110 balls with 15 fours and 2 sixes and his attack rate was 118 l. Opener Shevon Daniel showed his performance by scoring 47 runs.
Kelvin Pittman was the star bowler for West Indies Academy, taking 7 wickets for 28 runs.
In reply, West Indies Academy were 34 for one at the end of the first day.
