The Sri Lankan Deaf Cricket team managed to get a great victory over the South African team in the preliminary round match of the World Deaf 20-20 tournament held in Dubai yesterday.
The Sri Lankan team, who batted first in the match, scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs, Dharmasheelan Balakrishnan 43, Gimandu Malcolm 36. Vander Berg conrad 2 wickets for 22 runs
In reply, South Africa were bowled out for 64 runs in 15 overs. Kumalo Ruel not out 30. Gimandu Malcolm 3 wickets for 15 runs.

Sri Lanka defeated Australia and lost the two matches against India and Pakistan. With yesterday’s victory, the Sri Lankan team has qualified for the first semi-final match against the Indian team today.
