Sri Lanka A beat Ireland by 6 wickets

Sri Lanka ‘A’ recorded a comfortable win over Ireland ‘A’ in the fourth match of the tri-nation ODI series held in Abu Dhabi yesterday (19).

After winning the toss, Ireland ‘A’ elected to bat first. However, Sri Lankan bowlers bowled them out for 192 in 46 overs. Pacer Dilshan Madushanka was again outstanding with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 44 runs.

Sri Lanka ‘A’ easily reached the target in 27.1 overs, with the opening pair of Lasith Kruspulle and Lahiru Udara giving them a brilliant start as the duo added 107 runs in 73 balls.

Kruspulle scored 53 runs off 33 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes while Udara scored 47 runs off 44 balls with 6 fours. Skipper Sadheera Samarawickrama continued his good form with the bat and scored another half-century.
