Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva says that the Minister of Sports has requested the Cricket Institute in writing to hand over 20% of the income of the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute (4.2 billion) to the Sports Ministry.
He said that the Sports Minister will take action against the Sports Ministry for refusing to give the money given to the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute by the International Cricket Council.
Mr. Shammi Silva, who further commented,
“Thieves, corruption, drug dealers…no one is in my committee. The problem here is that the minister did not play games. Here are all the people who have played sports… How about we stay at home.. He doesn’t care because of his parliamentary privileges. Ask him to take us anywhere. Before him, we will take him to another place.”
