The Lanka Spa Massage Owners Association has filed a petition with the Court of Appeal, seeking a writ of certiorari to the Attorney General to expedite the preparation of a bill legalizing spa massage treatments.
The Attorney General and a group of others have been named as respondents in the petition.
The petitioner association consists of owners of spa massage establishments licensed by the Department of Ayurveda.
