Former Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake, who served as the Secretary of the Constitutional Council, has resigned from his post.
He has informed the Constitutional Council that he will be stepping down from the post of Secretary effective the 15th due to personal reasons. Accordingly, it is reported that the council has accepted his resignation.
After Dhammika Dassanayake, who served as the Secretary General of Parliament, retired from that position on May 25, 2023, he was appointed as the Secretary of the Constitutional Council in the same year.
He received an allowance of about 500,000 rupees, an official vehicle and other facilities for the position of Secretary of the Constitutional Council.
