Saudi Arabia intervenes to save those trapped in Sudan.
A group of Sri Lankans were among those rescued

Khalid Hamoud Alkahtani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sri Lanka, said in a statement that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is actively involved in the withdrawal of Saudi Arabian citizens and citizens of other friendly countries who are intervening in the ongoing civil war in Sudan.

According to the announcement, 13 citizens of their own country and 1664 citizens of other countries, who intervened in the Sudanese crisis, arrived in Jeddah today from Sudan, and Sri Lankans are among the rescued people.

Khalid Hamoud Alkahtani, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Sri Lanka, says that these people have been brought to Jeddah by a ship belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and they will be given all the facilities to go to their respective countries by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Thus, the total number of people evacuated from Sudan since the beginning of the evacuation to date was about 2,148 people. (114 Saudi nationals and 2034 belonging to 62 other nationalities).
