Sajith takes up the sword.

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya has decided to send letters to all local government members informing them that disciplinary investigations will be conducted against members who act against the party’s instructions during the election to establish local government institutions without a majority.

All members must first raise their hands to declare whether the election to appoint the heads of institutions without a majority is an open election or a secret ballot, and the SJB has decided that an open ballot should be held.

The government is demanding a secret ballot and the government intends to obtain the support of members of other parties in a secret ballot.

Therefore, the SJB has ordered its party members to demand an open ballot.

At the same time, the SJB has also instructed all elected MPs through letters to support the party’s nominated chairman or mayoral candidate and has also informed that disciplinary proceedings will be conducted against all MPs who violate these orders.
